Spinnaker© is a Windows® application built in cooperation with the Genetic Laboratories of the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology in Zagreb for the statistical analysis of the palindrome structures within the DNA.

It is currently in the test phase and planned availability is scheduled for June 2007.

Application is being developed in C++ programming language on MFC platform and by using Microsoft Visual C++ 2005® development system. Spinnaker can analyse DNA sequences in a search for "true" palindromes and can show and export the results in XML format enabling easy data exchange.

This is the application's first version and its functionality is limited by the need to solve a particular problem. We are planning the upgrade that will enhance the current and implement new algorithms and routines often used in bioinformatics.
